Brief Bio:
Joe is the father of four boys and has been married to Kathy for 25 years. He’s been running competitively since 1978 when he ran his first race in Hanover New Hampshire while a graduate student at Dartmouth College. He has won the HTC Grand Prix in the Masters division five consecutive times from 1998 to 2002 and was recognized as the HTC Outstanding Male Runner in 1998. He is also the recipient of the HTC’s Dedication award.
Joe is the editor-in-chief and vice-publisher of Directions Media, the leading online publication for location technology and geospatial information. He has authored over 250 articles and editorials on topics ranging from market research, wireless location-based services, retail trade area analysis, and the use of geographic information system (GIS) technology for business applications for “location intelligence.” Joe is also the CEO of BidConnexion Software Inc.
Joe was born in Trenton, New Jersey and received his Bachelors Degree from Rutgers University (New Brunswick, New Jersey) in Geology in 1978, followed by a Master's Degree in Earth Science from Dartmouth College (Hanover, New Hampshire) in 1980, and a Master's Degree in Business Administration from the Edwin L. Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University (Dallas, Texas) in 1989.
