Short term and Long Term Running Goals:
Finish a 100 miler again this summer. Next year I want to run the ice and fire combo—run Susitna 100 in Alaska in February and then run Badwater in Death Valley in July.
Brief Bio:
I started running while in college at Georgetown University and did my first race, the Marine Corp Marathon, in 1995. My third race ever was Strolling Jim 41 miler in Tennessee in May of 1996. From then on I have been running races whenever possible-- from 1 to 100 miles. Ultramarathons are my passion and what I enjoy running the most. I have won many ultras and enjoy traveling around to run races. In 1999, I ran 20 hours and 11 minutes at Vermont 100, which placed me 7th overall and 2nd female. That year, I had the 5th fastest woman’s time for a 100 mile race. Now I want to continue running ultras and continue improving on my times. I think I was just meant to run ultramarathons.
