Short term goals: Consistently run in the 18 minute range in 5K and sub 40 minute range in 10K

Long term goals: Run the Mountain Mist 50K

Brief Bio:

Born and raised in Huntsville. Graduated from Evangel High School in 1979, UAH (B.S., Mathematics) 1983, UAH (M.S., Computer Science) 1988. Specialization
is real time 3D computer animation/simulation.

Married to Lisa Campbell since 1995.

Still play competitive basketball and baseball. Longtime member of the Rocket City Mustang Club, and currently own 4 Mustangs (and always on the lookout for more!).

Began racing competitively in 1985. First race was Jesse Owens 10K in 1985, when, on a whim, went with a couple of friends to the race. I'd never run over 3 miles before, but wound up running the 10K in a little over 45 minutes. Also ran the Cotton Row 10K that year in the 45 minute range and had finished it for 22 consecutive years until 2007 when a calf injury required me to pull out during the race. Do most of my training on Monte Sano or on the fields near Lockheed-Martin in Research Park.
