Over 200 runners will take to the trails in Monte Sano State Park Saturday morning for the seventh annual McKay Hollow Madness 25K Trail Run, a race with the motto: "When the going gets tough, just quit." There are currently 202 runners entered determined not to quit.
The race starts at 7 a.m. at the picnic area overlook pavilion behind the main picnic area building in Monte Sano State Park. Take the first right after entering Monte Sano State Park. The McKay Hollow race is run on sections of the Sinks, Panther Knob, Stone Cut, Mountain Mist, Goat, Warpath Ridge, McKay Hollow, Arrowhead and Natural Well trails. This is a technical race with some difficult climbs and descents.

There is a five-hour time limit for all runners, including cutoff times at both aid stations. Will Barnwell's On-On Taco Truck will offer a special race burrito for $5.
In other racing news, there will be an Easter Egg hunt and fun run Thursday starting at 5:30 p.m. at the Fleet Feet Store in Jones Valley. Hundreds of eggs will be filled with candy and one will have a gift certificate for a pair of free shoes from Brooks. Go to fleetfeethuntsville.com
