Hudson Alpha Double Helix Dash

2012 Hudson Alpha Double Helix Dash

A 5K and 1-Mile Twilight Run • Tuesday, April 10, 2012 • 5:30 pm

Welcome to the first-ever Double Helix Dash at McMillian Park. The HudsonAlpha Institute for Biotechnology, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, is pleased to host this event in cooperation with our partners and sponsors.

A part of the Healthy Huntsville Initiative, this twilight run will take place on a Tuesday evening to demonstrate that people don't need to wait for the weekend to take part in healthy activities.

Run the inaugural Double Helix Dash 5K (3.1 miles) or the 1-mile route through the distinctive double-helix running path of McMillian Park, as well as points through Cummings Research Park.

The Double Helix Dash is open to everyone, from serious runners to those who are just beginning their journeys toward healthier, fitter lifestyles. HudsonAlpha welcomes runners and walkers of all levels, but for safety reasons, please reserve strollers for the 1-mile race.

Both the Double Helix Dash 5K and 1-mile runs start and finish on Genome Way, in front of the HudsonAlpha Institute for Biotechnology. For those who want to cheer on runners or simply watch the race, find a spot in McMillian Park or along the route on Explorer Boulevard.
