Huntsville Fleet Feet Sports invites you to join runners, walkers, ghosts, and goblins of all ages at the Spooktacular 5K Run and 1 Monster Run  on October 27, 2012. Get crafty and creative and participate in the costume contest or, better yet, compete in costume!

New for 2012 - Pay one registration fee and you can compete in both the 5K and 1 Mile events. There is special pricing for the 1 Mile event only for those 10 years old and under.

Paper registration forms will not be available until closer to the event day to promote environmentally-friendly racing. Thanks for your understanding.

The 1 mile will be begin at 7am and the 5K will begin promptly at 8am. Awards, for both races and all costumes, will follow the 5K.

All registered participants will receive a unisex long-sleeve or short-sleeve cotton T-shirt - both kids and adults.

The Spooktacular 5K course  starts at the Von Braun Center. Come set a new PR as it is one of the fastest 5K courses in Huntsville.

 It is a USATF Certified course.

Please come dressed in your best Halloween costumes for the race. Keep safety in mind while designing your costume to ensure visibility as well as your gazelle-like stride.

Bring your cameras! There is plenty of area around Big Spring Park for lounging after the race and before the awards presentation. Also, there is no lack of interesting things to photograph - you won't want to miss pictures of your family and friends competing in costume!

Jogging strollers and pets are not allowed this event. No exceptions! 

 There is no age restriction to running the 1 Mile. In order to be able to register for only the 1 Mile Monster Run, Kids must be 10 and under. Feel free to check the Alabama state age records for the 1 Mile at the following link: http://staterunningrecords.com/asp/records.asp?state=AL. Since the race is chip-timed, there is a great opportunity to set new records at the 2012 Spooktacular!

 The recommended Packet Pickup is Friday from 10am-7pm at Fleet Feet Sports. The final and insanely busy packet pickup is Saturday morning from 6:00-6:50am at the Von Braun Center parking garage.

  This will be the course for the Monster Mile. The start/finish will be further down to make the course 1 mile.
• Spooktacular 5k Course
  This is the updated Spooktacular 5k course. There has been one change due to construction.
